I remember a few years back when summer was ending and I was still totally enjoying every second of it but before I knew it, fall was here and I was in the thick of it not knowing left from right and always thinking about the next thing. I was not enjoying myself and was not enjoying the beauty that fall has to offer. After that year, I said no more and chose to make a change and I am sharing my tips to make it through the busy season with you today.Read more
Maybe you are thinking right now, «why is she writing about the importance of rest when fall and the busiest season of the year is ahead”?
Because I believe that before we can handle the busy seasons in life we need to learn to stop and rest and do all the things out of a position of rest rather than a position of stress. When we are well rested, we can achieve more and contribute more.
Remember the beginning of summer when we had all these big plans? Maybe you feel like you are running out of time for the summer. Maybe you feel like this summer passed in a snap but you still have not taken a daytrip of gone swimming. You can still make the most of this summer.
It was about two years ago and I was sitting on my green chair in my living room thinking about life. This question came up on the inside of me asking, “Are you willing to give it all up, the life you have created, your independence?” And boy oh boy was that a hard one to answer because I love being single. I love my independence, not having to ask anyone about anything and I love having time by myself.
Today is about encouraging you to make the hard decision and stick with it.
The past six months I have looked back on decisions I have made which brought me to where I am today. I already mentioned this on my birthday and I knew I wanted to share one of those stories with you today. It’s getting up close and personal.
Well, I made you a virtual cake we can have with our virtual coffee 😊 but really I just want to celebrate the journey so far.
This blog is turning 1 year today and it has been the most incredible year. It has pushed me to be creative. It has pushed me to be more vulnerable, to share my life and to let go of the lies that tell me I am not good enough.
I do not know where you stand on the “single spectrum”. Maybe you just got out of a relationship and are newly single, maybe you are single and ready to mingle or maybe you are single and dating. The fact is you are not married and this single life is here to be enjoyed. Yet sometimes we get so caught up in life or in the idea of something or someone (hello… I am definitely guilty of that) that we forget that life happens right here and now and we only have this one life.

Today I just want to take a quick moment to talk about this quote by William Shakespeare. I used to be a big Shakespeare fan and read all of his plays. I also used to memorize parts of it to quote whenever I needed it. I also visited the Globe Theater in London and was very disappointed for it being a reconstruction.
