Alright you guys, I just wanted to show up on here today to encourage you to appreciate the now even during a pandemic.
Some days might feel like we want to give up, like we want to pull the covers of our rooms and curl up under a blanket and just wait it out, come back once all of this is over.
But I honestly believe that you were created for such a time as this and that you have what it takes to make it through this time. This is not the end of the world, this is a storm and you will make it through and learn to appreciate the now even during this crazy time, this crazy season we are in.
So how exactly do you appreciate the now even during a pandemic
I want to share three points with you today on how to do that. And if you have been on my blog for more than one minute you will know how much I believe in seasons and living in the moment and enjoying the now.
- The past is the past. Learn from it but don’t dwell on it
We as a world are in a new season in a place we have as a generation never been before. We cannot go back. We can only go through this time of transition and this time of change and this time learning to be resilient. We can learn from the past but we cannot go back there.
- The time is now. If you read my last post you will know that one thing I always said about this season of being single is to know that life happens now, not tomorrow or next year or once something is in place or different. This goes for this season we are in as a global community as well. Our life, our calling are happening right now. We can still dream, we can still sit still, we can still enjoy life. We just need a different approach and we need to be kinder to ourselves. I want to encourage you to start journaling. Write down how you are feeling during this time. We all have those hours, days and even weeks where it is just not fun. Write it down and then look back after a few months. Write down what you are thankful for right now. Maybe it is the fact that you still have a family, still have a home and food on the table. Whatever it is and no matter how small. There is always something to be thankful for. I also want to encourage you to go outside more. Enjoy nature. Breathe in the fresh spring air. God created this beautiful planet for us and we get to enjoy it.
- The future is happening right now. By appreciating the now even during a pandemic you are creating your future with a thankful heart, with resilience, with dreams in your heart and a vision to change, to grow and to come out on the other side as a better, kinder and stronger person.
This is my weekly encouragement for you. I hope it does in fact lift your spirit a bit today. That is why I am doing this blog. To live in abundance in every season of life.
