It finally felt like Fall this morning. The fog was thick and it was cold outside. Sometimes in the fall it feels like time is running out, like there is not enough time to do all the things. And although I am certainly not a promoter of glorifying busyness I must admit that the fall is usually pretty full. Which leads me to today’s post: I need to stop for a moment and take in my surroundings. Lift my head and look around. I want to find time for all the things to do this fall, because I haven’t done any of them yet.
But since we are creating community on this very blog and holding each other accountable, (right?) I put together an actual list of thing to do this fall. You can do any and all things on this list and I hope it encourages you to stop for a second and breathe in the fall air.
7 Things to do this fall
1. Go on a hike.
I did this last year and have major fomo for not being able to go this year.
2. Light all the candles in your house or apartment
And if you don’t have any may I suggest you buy at least one candle this fall. My favourite scented candles are these and the « Feu de beau » is an amazing scent.
3. Make pumpkin soup.
This is my favorite recipe and I cannot wait to make it.
4. Throw a friendsgiving party as big or small as you like.
It is the harvest time and there should always be time to be thankful for the lives we get to live. I am already planning mine and will share it in a couple of weeks with you
5. Listen to this music while you take a bath
6. Watch Pride & Prejudice
Because somehow the lighting and mist and everything in that movie is perfect. And I am talking about the Keira Knightly version.
7. Make a bonfire
Enjoy it with your friends and of course s’mores.
Friends, I hope you’re making the most out of this fall. And I would absolutely love to hear your suggestions in the comments. Let this list continue.
